Blue Scotland Moves to New Premises

After more than 15 years at Broadleys Road in Stirling’s Springkerse Industrial Estate, Blue Scotland has outgrown its premises, relocating at the beginning of June to a new and much larger 3½ acre site a mere half a mile away in Craigleith Road, Broadleys Business Park.

Diesel fuel from waste plastics now a reality

According to a report on Engineering and Technology Magazine’s website, a new type of fuel made from mixed plastic waste is being tested for use. The fuel, known as Plaxx has been developed by a team from Bristol Robotics Laboratory (BRL) in cooperation with Recycling Technologies, and is being trialled in diesel engines used in tankers, ferries and industrial machinery.

REDWAVE to build large MBT

Another pre-treatment plant for household waste was ordered for the south-east of China from the Austrian-German technology firm REDWAVE. By using mechanical biological treatment (MBT) it will dry and sort the waste for a local waste-to-energy (WTE) plant.
