Large Domestic Appliances – potential for another mountain!

Light iron makes up a large part of the UK’s ferrous scrap and, according to WRAP, large domestic appliances (LDAs) make up about 11% of light iron. Potential issues with re-classification as hazardous waste could undermine the recycling of LDAs– it could lead to a mountain not unlike the fridge mountains of not so long ago.

Organisers of the Plastics Recycling Show Europe exhibition and conference, which had to be postponed in November due to the security alert in Brussels, have announced that the event has been rescheduled to take place on Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 March 2016 at the new venue of Brussels Expo.
